BIKE DRIVE FROM BANGALORE TO HYDERABAD - hguy.blogspot.com

I always wanted a bike. But dad had a scooter and my first vehicle was a secondhand scooter and then my second vehicle was a brand new scooter. It was like I was stuck with a scooter.

Then finally I got a bike. A Suzuki Fiero. A 150 cc.

I now wanted to go long on a bike. So one morning, I took a back pack and left. On a journey from Bangalore to Hyderabad. Alone.

As I reached the border, I was sleepy. Parked my bike under a tree and used the backpack as a pillow I dozed off for good one hr.

Fresh again I continued, took another nap at the shores of Pebbair river.

The journey itself was a joy. Not much greenery but I saw windmills by the dozens. Then I saw a 20-wheeler carrying one wing – just one. Almost 60 mtrs in length. Looks so small from afar.

Halted at Kurnool. Met some old friends. And back on the highway.

Now this trip was beginning to take its toll. I mean my back was giving up. So, I had to stop frequently, usually a bus stop and sit or lie to give my back a rest.

By the time I reached Shadnagar, I was stopping every 200 mtrs. That bad my back went. And when I reached home, I crashed in the bed not to get out for a good 2-3 days.

Then a fortnight later, drive back to Bangalore.

So what is your biking experience?
