What a disaster these past couple of months have been! Not my life or my love life; they are going fine. I am talking about movies, TV shows, or web serials that suck. And not the good kind.
Let's start with Cocaine Bear. Expectations were high. That trailer really did it. but the movie was slow, jerky, and very unsure of itself. But still a can-watch
The Mother was such a bore. She kept finding and losing her daughter. That’s the story.
OMG, Yellowstone, how the mighty have fallen.
Sisu was like OK. Different from the usual bakwas and does stand out. But not something you will remember for long.
Operation Fortune had no head or tail. What has happened to this once-great director, whom I refuse to name.
Plane (nice name) and Kandahar were not bad. GB was ok ok but there was no point in the stories. Same generic tale and the same straight-as-an-arrow screenplay.
I let Fast X go. I lost interest in the series long ago.
The Black Demon was special for me. I have had a soft spot for the hero since that Alabama movie.
You know what? In Jaws, they showed the shark for the first time in the 45th minute of the movie. Well, this movie topped that. They didn't show the shark at all.
Ghosted was a movie that I was waiting for. And It came. And it was good—in fact, great—till the midpoint. And then it fell like a hot potato. Ended up being terrible.
Who green-lit 65? Does he, she, or they still have a job? Another rubbish movie.
Luther didn't add much to the cinematic experience.
I couldn't see 5 minutes of Boston Strangler. It was so boring. I tried twice and gave up.
Peter Pan and Wendy was made with only one agenda. That she gives him a tight slap. Which was effectively carried out. Thats it.
Barry started so great a couple of years ago, and now it lost its way and dragged, and then suddenly ended. Thank god.
Citadel is a simple no no no.
Night action. I don't know what the hoo haa is all about.
You Hurt My Feelings and Somewhere in Queens both seem to have been born from the same script. Both were made by TV stars, and the two movies too look like an episode of a series.
I don't know what to say about John Wick. That Gun-fu shit is getting quite silly. I think it's time to put it to rest (for at least 15 years) along with superhero movies, the FF series, Indiana Jones, Star Wars, and Star Trek.
The only bright spot was that Super Mario movie. Upfront - I've never played that game. The movie was refreshing and cute. The best part is that they did the villain and the female lead right. People should see this movie and learn how to write strong female characters. It's getting the job done. Not belittle male characters and not beat up 10s of male characters.
